PANIC! FEAR! HYSTERIA!....
These are a few of the emotions that are completely unnecessary in the face of the latest news from Mike's Paddle. As you may have heard by now, Mike's Paddle is undergoing a transition that includes Sausalito-based Sea Trek assuming operation of classes, tours, and rental operations starting in spring 2024. Mike's Paddle will continue to offer retail and repair services for boards and kayaks. Mike's website has more details (https://www.mikespaddle.com/pages/seatrek-announcement).  What does all of this mean for the Ohana Paddle Club that makes Panic! Fear! and Hysteria! unnecessary? The good news is that it does not impact OPC negatively at all - yay! There are some positives, in fact. Most importantly, Mike himself will have a bit more free time on his hands to actually live his life (more yays!) and some of that life will include more time to coach and paddle with Ohana - all the yays! Additionally, Ohana will have access to Sea Trek in Sausalito - even more yays! And did ya hear - Mike's and Sea Trek will be rebuilding the docks, so your boards will soon have a comfy new home. Will the yays never stop? Mike's Paddle and Sea Trek will be celebrating this new union on Sunday, October 29 with the provision of great company and tasty tacos - always the sign of a good time! Rentals will be $10 between 10am and 2pm (2pm return). If you were already coming out for Witches on Water (yays on broomsticks!), stick around after! Witches and tacos needs to become a meme....or a band! See you there!
