Join us for a spellbinding morning on the water! ✨
Witches (and Wizards) on Water is a family-friendly paddle parade where paddlers of all ages come together to celebrate community, creativity, and connection — all while supporting a great cause.
Dress up in your witchiest, wizard-iest, or most magical outfit, grab your paddleboard or kayak (or rent one from Sea Trek), and glide across the water in a whimsical flotilla of fun. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned paddler, everyone’s welcome!

How to Join
Bring your own board or kayak: $10 launch fee (paid to Sea Trek)
Need gear? Rent a paddleboard or kayak from Sea Trek — reserve early!
Costumes encouraged: Just be sure you can paddle safely in it.
Safety first: All paddlers must wear a PFD (personal flotation device). Safety monitors will be on the water.

9:00 AM – Check-in and outfitting
10:00 AM – Everyone on the water
10:15 AM – Meet up in the lagoon
10:30 AM – Photos at the bridge
10:45 AM – Paddle to the end of the channel
11:00 AM – More photos in the lagoon
11:15 AM – Back to the dock

Your launch fee, rental, or donation helps fund the OUSD 500 On the Water Project, part of Sea Trek Cares and Oakland Goes Outdoors.
This initiative brings Oakland students onto the water to learn, explore, and build confidence through outdoor education and paddling experiences.
